Student Life

At The Crown College of the Bible, we work to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and comfortable campus with a warm spiritual atmosphere. Students have opportunities to build lifelong friendships with others young men and women who love the Lord and are training to serve Him. Whether he is in class, with friends in the Crown Café, or cheering on our teams; a student at The Crown College of the Bible will find himself in a place where Christians are happy in the Lord and enthusiastic about serving Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Life

The first call of God on our lives is the call to be “with Him” (Mark 3:14). Before Christ ever sent His disciples out to preach, He first called them to be with Him. Students are diligently encouraged to develop a devotional life, walking day-by-day with the Lord. The Christian Life Journal and other similar resources are provided to help students become steadfast in their daily Bible reading, prayer, and memorization of Scripture. Students attend chapel on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, hearing heart-stirring music and Bible messages brought by Pastor Sexton and others, including missionaries, visiting pastors, alumni, faculty, and pastoral staff members.

Dormitory Life

Beautiful, home-style dormitories are provided on campus as part of the room-and-board program. The dormitories are spacious, two-story brick dwellings. There is a comfortable atmosphere and ample living space for each student. Every dormitory has a living room and kitchen, self-contained washer and dryer units, a refrigerator/freezer, and a microwave oven. Food service for students on campus includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day of the week during the regular semester.

Single students under 23 years of age must live in the dormitories. Married students must secure their own housing. However, the Admissions Office and the Director of Married & Commuter Student Ministries can provide you with information on currently available off-campus housing.

Activities

Students have the opportunity to be involved in weekly activities that provide fellowship and a welcome break from the rigors of work and courses. The east Tennessee area offers a variety of attractions including the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cumberland Mountains as well as numerous opportunities for hiking, picnicking, and sightseeing. Favorite activities include ice-skating, bowling, roller-skating, putt-putt, Sadie Hawkins Night, Valentine's Banquet, the Corn Maze, indoor soccer, hayrides, cookouts, and local high school football games.

Presently, The Crown College of the Bible competes in three intercollegiate sports – men’s soccer, ladies’ volleyball, and men’s basketball. The Crown College of the Bible is a NCCAA Division II member. Our athletics programs are non-scholarship in nature, and are open to any student desiring to try out. All students are invited to participate in the intramural volleyball, basketball, and softball tournaments that are held periodically throughout the school year.
