The online Master of Ministry program is a systematic graduate-level study of the Scriptures, including basic theological disciplines, and the work of the local church for those actively engaged in Christian ministry. Coursework is offered in six 8-week sessions.
Fall A courses
BI564 – Principles of Biblical Interpretation 3 credit hours, 8-week online course A study of the principles of sound biblical interpretation with practical application in preaching and teaching. Emphasis is given to theological, historical, cultural, grammatical, and literary aspects of interpretation. Included are specific topics such as typology, prophecy, figures of speech, miracles and parables. CM521 – The Life & Ministry of Spurgeon 3 credit hours, 8-week online course A comprehensive study of Spurgeon’s pastoral and preaching ministry, including an examination of his upbringing, family, location, testimony, life, theology, and ministry philosophy. This course is designed to bring the student very close to this man of God in order to examine his local church ministry as an excellent model of a New Testament church.

BI502 – Advanced New Testament 3 credit hours, 8-week online course A continuation of the thorough examination of God’s revelation of Himself and His plan of redemption, giving attention to the authorship, date, purpose, and content of the New Testament books. CM511 – The Pastor's and Christian Worker's College 3 credit hours, 8-week online course This course provides a philosophy for local church ministry that is firmly grounded in the Scriptures. It also includes practical insights and sound wisdom for those who are either pastoring a church or assisting a pastor in various ministry endeavors. Also offered in Summer A Session.
Summer A courses
CM561 – Teaching & Preaching the Bible 3 credit hours, 8-week online course A thorough treatment of the preparation of Bible messages from birth to delivery. Emphasis is placed on the preacher’s vision of God, his ability to support a biblical thesis, and his resolve to press for a biblical verdict. CM511 – The Pastor's and Christian Worker's College 3 credit hours, 8-week online course This course provides a philosophy for local church ministry that is firmly grounded in the Scriptures. It also includes practical insights and sound wisdom for those who are either pastoring a church or assisting a pastor in various ministry endeavors. Also offered in Spring A Session.
Fall B courses
BI501 – Advanced Old Testament 3 credit hours, 8-week online course An in‐depth study of the progressive revelation of God and His redemptive plan, underscoring the Old Testament foundation for New Testament doctrine, from Genesis through the Prophets. In this course, we will read through the Old Testament and take a comprehensive view of the message of God given to us in the Old Testament. CM599 – Theological Research and Thesis 3 credit hours, 8-week online course A comprehensive look at theological research and writing.  The student will thoroughly study an area of theology to develop a thesis and verdict. The thesis will establish a theological truth; the verdict will declare what people should do because of it.
Spring B courses
ED545 – Baptist Distinctives & History of the Church 3 credit hours, 8-week online course An introduction to the history of Baptist people and churches with an emphasis on the distinctives of Baptist polity. CM581 – Ministry Practicum 3 credit hours*, 8-week online course In this practical course, the student hones his skills in the gospel ministry through weekly involvement in a local church ministry that provides the student with the opportunity to actively engage in reaching and teaching people. *Those engaged in full-time local church ministry for five years or more may earn 3 hours of credit for Ministry Practicum after completing the necessary requirements for the course.
Summer B courses
CM572 – Pastoring the New Testament Church 3 credit hours, 8-week online course A detailed examination of the life and work of the pastor as patterned in God’s Word. Emphasis is placed on the Pastoral Epistles. CM581 – Ministry Practicum 3 credit hours*, 8-week online course In this practical course, the student hones his skills in the gospel ministry through weekly involvement in a local church ministry that provides the student with the opportunity to actively engage in reaching and teaching people. *Those engaged in full-time local church ministry for five years or more may earn 3 hours of credit for Ministry Practicum after completing the necessary requirements for the course.
