Several years ago, Crown College of the Bible began hosting the Crown Business Forum for the purpose of encouraging and equipping local business leaders and introducing them to the work of Crown College.  The Crown School of Business is happy to introduce several new events to serve our local business community.  This year’s Crown Business Forum series is entitled “Tools for the Christian in Business:  How to Improve Your Bottom Line.”  A total of four sessions this year will address areas of critical interest to the Christian in business, chaired by subject area experts, to help provide tools to thrive in this challenging economy and prepare businesses for the future.

The first forum was held on October 3 in the new Friendship Hall and began with an address by the founder and President of Crown College, Pastor Clarence Sexton.  After attendees enjoyed a delicious meal, our guest speaker, Dr. Charles Prescott, covered essential techniques to work with bankers and optimize terms and rates.  Dr. Prescott has been packaging and creating portfolios of small, medium and large credits for over twenty years in the commercial markets of multiple states including Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida.  Attendees were given advice on how to reduce banking borrowing costs and improve their bottom lines.

Future meetings are scheduled for November, February, and March.  Forum subjects will include tools to maximize sales with online marketing, reducing risk with risk management, charting a course to profits with business planning, and, optimizing investment portfolios.
