Foundation for Christian Life Certificate
The Crown College now offers a one-year program of intensive training providing a foundation for living the Christian life. The student will be prepared to understand and effectively apply the Word of God to his life. This program will help equip the student for a lifetime of fruitful Christian service in any subsequent education or field of employment into which God may lead him.
The Foundation for Christian Life Certificate will help you to:
- Gain a thorough working knowledge of the Scriptures.
- Learn how to study the Bible and how to teach the Bible to others.
- Develop a systematic understanding of biblical creation.
- Grow in your spiritual life through Christ-centered classes and chapel services.
Key Courses
Living the Christian Life - The open secret of looking to Christ in the victorious Christian life is the cornerstone of this course personally taught by Dr. Sexton. The pursuit of Christ and the necessity of the personal devotional life are emphasized.
Old Testament Survey – This course will take you on a tour of the entire Old Testament law; including history, poetry, and prophecy, with special regard to its historical context. You will learn the authorship, time of writing, key words, key verse, and outlines for each book as well as its place in God’s total, progressive revelation.
New Testament Survey - This course completes your trip by taking you through the entire New Testament with special regard to its historical context. The theme, key verse, key words, and the author‘s background are points of emphasis. Highlights include; the life of Christ, the ministry of first-century local churches, and the imminent return of Christ.
Methods of Bible Study – This course introduces you to the basic interpretive principles and tools of believing Bible study. You will learn many of the proven and profitable methods by which the Bible may be studied.
Creation Science – This course will equip you to be bold in declaring the Biblical account of the literal six-day creation. You will learn the facts of Genesis 1-9 and the implications they have on both biological and physical science.

A student may complete the Foundation for Christian Life Certificate program in only one year of study. If a student desires to continue his education and earn a bachelor's degree, all courses may be transferred into a Bachelor of Biblical Studies program at The Crown College.
