The Lee Roberson Christian Heritage Center
Remembering our past, pioneering our future
Every Christian is an heir to a wonderful Christian heritage. Unfortunately, the great majority of God’s people know little or nothing of the tremendous price that was paid throughout the centuries to preserve for us the faith that was once delivered to the saints.
Within the campus of Crown College is the Christian Heritage Center, named in honor of Dr. Lee Roberson. Dr. Roberson was thought by many to be the Spurgeon of the twentieth century. For more than 40 years, he was the pastor of the Highland Park Baptist Church of Chattanooga, Tennessee. During the era in which Dr. Roberson served, the church's ministry literally reached around the world. Thousands of pastors, missionaries and other Christian workers were trained and sent out from the heart of that great church. Dr. Clarence Sexton served with Dr. Roberson during the glory days of that ministry. Humanly speaking, the impression of Dr. Lee Roberson’s life and ministry is more deeply felt and easily seen than that of any other individual.
The Christian Heritage Center has been dedicated to handing down our heritage as Christians to the next generation. Displayed within 30,000 square feet of hallways and passages are vivid testimonies to the lives and ministries of men and women who served Christ through faithfully preaching and teaching the Bible, pioneering in world evangelism, composing and writing Christ-honoring music, any many other avenues of labor. Special honor is given to the lives and work of those gave their lives for the cause of Christ. New displays of many kinds are being added continuously.
