Missions is the divine mandate to the New Testament church to win the lost and plant other local churches. This is the God-ordained pattern set forth in the five-step ministry of the Apostle Paul in Acts 14. World evangelism must begin in and be sustained by the local church.

A thorough knowledge of the Word of God is the foundation of this program of study.  The Missions program, for both men and women, consists of three tracks: 1) emphasis on a foreign language, 2) emphasis on TESOL instruction, or 3) emphasis on signing and interpretation for the deaf.

A minimum of 128 hours are required to complete the degree.

Key Courses

Living the Christian Life - The open secret of looking to Christ in the victorious Christian life is the cornerstone of this course personally taught by Dr. Sexton. The pursuit of Christ and the necessity of the personal devotional life are emphasized.

Introduction to Missions - This course will establish for you the biblical basis and methodology for missionary work found in the book of Acts. In addition, you will make a general survey of fields, agencies, and the imperative of local church responsibility for world evangelism.

Missionary Forum I - This course equips the missionary with the tools he needs before leaving for the field.  Deputation, media presentations, and financial issues are addressed. Survey trips, etiquette, insurance, and other helpful areas are covered as well as the basic goals and objectives for the missionary prior to living on the field.
