Bachelor in Biblical Studies in Business Applications
The Bachelor of Biblical Studies in Business Applications program prepares graduates to function in an office environment by training them in methods of effective communication, and logical and creative thinking. A strong core of Bible instruction gives the student a sound foundation for living the Christian life in any workplace.
Students can receive recognized certification in the use of a broad range of industry-standard software platforms including the Microsoft Vista™ operating system, Microsoft Office™ programs like Access™, Excel™, PowerPoint ™, and Word™; Adobe programs such as Dreamweaver™, Photoshop™, and InDesign™; and Intuit QuickBooks™.
The graduate of the Business Applications program will be a valuable asset whether they choose to work from their home, or in ministry or business offices.
Key Courses
Living the Christian Life - The open secret of looking to Christ in the victorious Christian life is the cornerstone of this course personally taught by Dr. Sexton. The pursuit of Christ and the necessity of the personal devotional life are emphasized.
Office Computer Applications - This course is a general survey of Microsoft WordTM, ExcelTM, AccessTM, and Power PointTM, in the Windows operating system. You will learn procedures for creating documents, workbooks, databases, and presentations that will greatly aid you in subsequent course work, in professional assignments, and through the ministries of a local church.
Graphic Design I & II - This course will take you beyond basic desktop publishing. The instruction, weekly assignments, and semester project will provide you with advanced experience with Adobe InDesignTM and PhotoshopTM, the industry-standard in layout and photo-editing software.
